Introduction

You have spent one week in Great Britain and you have watched British television. You are going to recommend the best programmes to watch at different times of day to your classmates.

What is on TV this week?

 



The Task

You will work in groups. Each group will be based in a different part of the country watching TV at different times.

  • Group A: You are in England.
  • Group B: You are in Scotland.
  • Group C: You are in Wales.
  • Group D: You are in Northern Ireland.


Task for each group:

  • Group A: What soap opera can you watch in the afternoon?
  • Group B: What films can see in the evening?
  • Group C: What talk shows can you watch in the morning?
  • Group D: When can you watch cartoons?


You can find all this information on the websites of the different TV channels.



The Process

To accomplish the task, you have to visit the following websites:

  1. www.bbc.co.uk/tv/
  2. www.itv.com/
  3. www.channel4.com

Visit the web pages of the TV channels and find what your group has been asked to look for.

Conclusion

As you can see there are a lot of TV programmes that you can watch while you are in Britain. You just have to look for them in a TV guide.

If you access to cable TV, try to watch English channels. By doing so your English will improve.
