World Obesity

Since 1980, the world obesity, and overweight has increased dramatically due to the enormous expansion in  fast food restaurants. Researchers suggest that this trend could still  increasing  if people continue with their bad eating habits, specially in food with high levels of saturated fat.

Actually, the cost for a meal in  fast food restaurants, are extremely low compared to the traditional food. In contrast, more sectors of the population  will have  more access.

According to the World Health Organization, also known as WHO, the standard system for measuring overweight is  the Body Mass Index (BMI). The World Health Organization, defines overweigh as a BMI of  25 or more, and obesity if its higher than 30. According to WHO researchers, 600 millions of adults suffer from overweight in 2005 and at least 400 millions of obesity.
