In Saudi Arabia serving coffee it’s not easy as you think. It’s a reflection of you respect to the other person. Firstly you should start serving the coffee from the oldest person and after that the second person on the right. And don’t never fill up the coffee cup .it will be kind of unrespectable for the person that you serve. Coffee in Saudi Arabia it’s a part in every thing in the Saudi culture. We would find it as sign of generosity. The Arabic Coffee is without sugar so we eat sweet date with it. We have a lot of old stories about coffee which reflect the how the coffee is part of the Saudi culture.

One of the stories is there was a person who was a famous man in making coffee and his coffee is ready at any time of the day. As you know the Arabic coffee takes about 15 minutes to be ready. One of the prince heard about that and a felt jealous about the reputation of this guy in the country and he planned to go to him at midnight and embarrassed him. In one day the prince took his friend to go to him and find out that if it is true. He went there in the midnight and surprised the guy with his friends and they wanted some coffee. The guy called his son to make the coffee and he took the ready one and handled it to the prince and he was shocked that it was ready. And the son just made the coffee if the needed more coffee. The prince after that believed what the people said about him and gave him a present to thank him for his generosity.
